The Western States Racing League
Founded by Paul Eigsti in the Fall of 1999, the WSRL (WSRLRacing.com) administers two weekly series hosted on its own server.
Each of the WSRL series is setup as an 18 race season with race settings configured to provide the competitors with challenging racing:
- The Tuesday Series currently runs fixed setup NASCAR Cup racing in 90 degree weather, set to 35% distance and 2x fuel and tire wear.
- The Friday Series allows open setups and follows the NASCAR Cup Schedule (as closely as possible) including temperature and wind settings based on the track forecast for the weekend. Race length is set to 40% and fuel/tire wear are normal.
Like many other leagues, the WSRL utilizes Sierra/Papyrus' NASCAR Racing 2003 Season.
Drivers here at MWM ran across the WSRL while searching for racing shortly after TEN closed its doors in 1999. We continue to race there because of the quality of the competition, the clean racing, and because many of us have become friends over the years. The WSRL is a great group and highly recommended racing.
