iRacing.com
iRacing.com opened to the public on August 26, 2008 after over four years of development and testing. The brainchild of racer and sim-racing designer Dave Kaemmer and supported by Boston Red Sox owner and sim-racing enthusiast John Henry, the iRacing.com Motorsport Simulation provides a state-of-the-art auto racing sim with laser-scanned tracks and cars and input, feedback and testing from both real-world and sim racers.
The service also provides its own sanctioning body that organizes rules, schedules, license levels, promotions and more. The racing is split across license levels, each with a car and length of events more advanced than the previous.
For a complete explanation of the service, lists of the tracks and cars available, a description of the technologies involved and news about iRacing and what's coming up, visit their website at iRacing.com.
